Guests will be picked up from Bandaranaike International Airport (CMB), the main international arrival airport in Sri Lanka.
Upon arrival, a representative from The Wildlife Guardian Travels will be waiting at the airport arrival area to welcome the guests. Our colleague will be wearing a The Wildlife Guardian Travels branded polo shirt for easy identification.
During the full tour, private transportation is included as part of the package. The assigned driver will communicate with guests in advance and coordinate all pickup times, transfers, and daily transport arrangements. The driver will remain flexible according to the guests’ travel schedule and will support them throughout the tour to ensure a smooth, comfortable, and well-organized travel experience in Sri Lanka.

1Sigiriya
Your private Sri Lanka journey begins with pickup from Colombo International Airport, Our English-speaking chauffeur will welcome you & guide and start the scenic drive towards the Cultural Triangle region. Travel through local towns, countryside landscapes and rural Sri Lankan scenery before reaching Sigiriya, Habarana or Dambulla area. After arrival, check in to your selected 4 to 5-star hotel with swimming pool and enjoy time to relax after the journey. Depending on arrival time, guests may enjoy a short orientation around the area or spend the evening at leisure at the hotel.

2Sigiriya Lion Rock
After breakfast, enjoy an authentic village experience in the Sigiriya region. This experience introduces guests to rural Sri Lankan life, local farming landscapes, village surroundings, lake scenery and traditional cultural elements. Depending on local arrangements, the experience may include a village walk, catamaran-style lake ride. In the afternoon, continue for the Minneriya Elephant Safari by private safari jeep. This region is one of the best places in Sri Lanka to observe Asian elephants in their natural dry-zone habitat. Depending on seasonal elephant movement, weather and park conditions, the safari may take place in Minneriya National Park, Kaudulla National Park or Eco Park to provide the best responsible elephant-viewing opportunity. Guests can witness elephants grazing, moving in family groups and gathering near open grasslands and water sources. Our safari team offers an excellent opportunity to enjoy Sri Lanka’s elephant country in a respectful and responsible way.

3Kandy
After breakfast, check out from the hotel and continue towards Kandy, Sri Lanka’s cultural capital. On the way, guests may choose optional visits based on interest and timing, such as Sigiriya Rock Fortress, Pidurangala Rock, Dambulla Cave Temple, spice garden or local craft stops. Entrance fees for attractions are paid directly by guests. Arrive in Kandy and check in to your hotel. Later, enjoy a relaxed Kandy city experience. Optional highlights may include Kandy Lake, viewpoint, local market, cultural show or the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic, one of the most respected Buddhist religious sites in Sri Lanka. This day combines cultural heritage, scenic driving and the peaceful charm of Kandy.

4Nanu Oya
After breakfast, begin your hill-country journey from Kandy towards Nanu Oya. The drive passes through Sri Lanka’s beautiful central highlands, where guests can enjoy cool-climate landscapes, mountain roads, tea plantations, waterfalls and scenic viewpoints. From Nanu Oya railway station, board the scenic train journey to Ella. This train journey is one of the most beautiful travel experiences in Sri Lanka, passing misty mountains, tea estates, valleys, forest areas, local villages and railway bridges. The train ticket is included in the package and will be arranged subject to seat availability. Upon arrival in Ella, meet your chauffeur guide and transfer to the hotel. Spend the evening at leisure enjoying the relaxed hill-country atmosphere.

5Ella
After breakfast, enjoy a relaxed day exploring Ella and its surrounding natural attractions. Ella is known for its mountain scenery, fresh air, waterfalls, tea-country views and peaceful village atmosphere. Depending on guest preference and weather conditions, optional visits may include Nine Arch Bridge, Little Adam’s Peak, Ravana Falls, Ella town, tea viewpoints or a short nature walk. This day is designed at a comfortable pace, giving guests time to enjoy the beauty of Sri Lanka’s hill country without rushing. Ella is one of the best places in Sri Lanka to relax, take photos, enjoy scenic views and experience the slower rhythm of mountain travel.

6Colombo
After breakfast, check out from the hotel and begin the return journey to the selected drop-off location. Drop-off can be arranged at Colombo International Airport, Colombo, Negombo, Galle, or another agreed location depending on the guest’s onward travel plan. This final day completes a memorable private journey through Sri Lanka’s wildlife, village life, cultural heritage, scenic train route and hill-country landscapes.
