Once a symbol of elegance and ambition, the building later became the site of one of the city’s deadliest fires, when twenty people lost their lives in 1978.   Guests will see the exterior of the Folly Theater, a historic Kansas City performance venue with a past as colorful as the city itself. Since opening in 1900, the theater has hosted vaudeville, burlesque, music, comedy, and generations of performers and audiences.
