Corral is a town, located between Corral Bay and the mouth of the Valdivia River, 15 km from Valdivia, the regional capital. It is the oldest port in southern Chile and the most important of the country's colonial period.
Chaihuin Fangs are two imposing rock formations that protrude from the water on the shore of the southern coast of the town of Chaihuin. They are called Chaihuin Fangs since they protrude from the sea and end in a pointed shape simulating fangs. The place stands out for its view of the beaches and the Valdivian jungle ecosystem, where it is possible to walk along wooden walkways of more than 2 km.
One of the most popular trails within the Alerce Costero National Park is the one that goes to the Mirador de Chaihuín. On this short route, you will cross a native forest with characteristic trees of the Valdivian jungle such as coihues, lengas, mañíos and arrayanes. Among the native fauna, pumas and pudues stand out. The viewpoint itself is a wooden tower that allows panoramic views of the entire park.
It is one of the star attractions of the Valdiviana Coastal Reserve since it allows us to enjoy a striking scene at a very short distance but in total safety: hundreds of sea lions on the rocks of the coast resting, mating, fishing, playing with their babies or simply sunbathing pleasantly.
This eco-region is in the southwest of Chile and is characterized by a heavily rainy climate and evergreen forests that are home to unique fauna and flora, such as the ancient araucarias and larches.
We will return from here we will take our transport back to the hotels of Valdivia.
