Diving is a magical experience, and even more impressive is making your first dive on Easter Island!
Initiations or "baptisms" are dives assisted by instructors where it is not necessary to have previous experience. It is an ideal activity to immerse yourself in the waters of the Island and interact with underwater flora and fauna.

This activity ends back at the meeting point.
What to expect
We will meet at our meeting point around 9 AM to head to the dive center, where we will have a previous class. Here we will learn the basic signs of underwater communication, use of the mask and breathing.
Already prepared, after class we will go to the coral reef where we can make a 30-minute dive. Here we will put into practice what we have learned and we can enjoy and interact with the impressive marine life that resides on the reef.
After this incredible experience we will head back to the dive center, where our excursion will end.

- Travelers should have at least a moderate level of physical fitness
- Children cannot do this excursion
- The activity may be suspended in case of adverse weather conditions
- Use Swimwear
- Due to the depth and pressure, it is recommended to wait at least 24 hours before / after traveling by plane to perform the activity.
- Time schedule to be confirmed. There are 4 options subject to availability.
