Fly from Buenos Aires to Trelew for a 3-night Puerto Madryn adventure! Just 2 hours away by air, you will departure at Trelew and then have a transfer to Puerto Madryn. The est coastal city provides easy access to Valdés Peninsula and Punta Tombo. Visit both places during two days of tours, marveling at interesting geographic accidents and native fauna such as penguins, elephant seals, southern sea lions, marine birds, among others.

Transfer from the Airport to the Hotel.
This excursion starts in Puerto Madryn between 07:30 and 8:30 AM depending on the time of year, and returns around 18:00. It is a 380 km land route. In 1999 the Valdés Peninsula was declared a UNESCO site.
As a first stop we will visit the Istmo C. Ameghino Interpretation Center where we will see an exhibition on flora, fauna and geology. During this trip we expand on the interpretation of the terrestrial ecosystem that is explained by the specialized guides.
We continue towards Puerto Pirámides, a tourist village from where the boats set sail for whale watching from June to December and nautical walks in summer. There is free time for lunch in “Quimen Quipan”. Does not include: navigation, meals, and all unspecified services.
Then the tour continues to Caleta Valdes, an interesting geographic accident and settlement of the southern elephant seals. Depending on the time of year, we´ll observe wolves, sea elephants and Magellanic penguins from September onwards, in addition to enjoying a unique landscape given by this incredible geological formation. As we return to Puerto Madryn, we will see the Great and the Small Salt Lakes and Birds Island; which has various marine birds in the area. In the outskirts you will also find the replica of the San Jose Fort Chapel. Does not include: navigation, admission to the reservation, meals and all unspecified services.
This excursion starts around 07:45 from your hotel and returns around 18:00. In this circuit, we will visit Punta Tombo, the most important Magellanic penguin colony in South America. On the site we could see gulls, skuas, giant petrels, cormorants and oystercatchers. Given the extension of the area, another enormous amount of flora and fauna is also observed.
On having returned you will have time for lunch (optional), in Rawson's Port, famous for their fish and seafood. You'll embark to observe the Overas Toninas. The Overa Toninas are recognized for their similarity to the dolphins. They are no longer than a meter and a half. Puerto Rawson is one of the few places in the world where they can be observed in their natural habitat. These daring species usually escort ships, playing and showing their skills to the visitors who have the possibility to watch the spectacle. The navigation lasts approximately an hour and a half.
