Isla de la Plata is especially renowned for its significant population of hawksbill sea turtles, as well as the presence of giant manta rays and, during the season (June to October), humpback whale watching.

Our adventure begins in Puerto López at 08:00 am, where we will board a boat and head towards the island. During the navigation, in season, you will have the opportunity to observe humpback whales in their natural habitat.

Upon arrival at the first dive site, you will receive the necessary equipment along with a brief instruction to begin your first immersion, where you can explore the richness of the underwater world in crystal-clear waters.

After a short break, we will prepare for the second dive, continuing to discover the fascinating marine life of Ecuador’s coast.

At the end of the experience, you will enjoy a delicious box lunch before returning to Puerto López, concluding an unforgettable day in close contact with nature.

    Diving along the coast of Machalilla National Park is an unforgettable experience you simply can’t miss! You’ll have the chance to explore beautiful coral reefs teeming with colorful fish, sea turtles, starfish, moray eels, lobsters, and a wide variety of marine species. Your adventure begins in the morning as you board the boat heading to the first dive site. Along the way, you may witness one of nature’s most spectacular displays—the courtship dance of humpback whales (seasonal). Upon arrival, your guide will provide a brief introduction about local currents and safety guidelines before you begin your first dive. Get ready to immerse yourself in this incredible underwater world! After your first immersion, you’ll enjoy a light snack and some time to relax before preparing for your second dive. Each dive lasts approximately 45 minutes, depending on your certification level. If you are a discovery diver or have no prior diving experience, the dive duration will be around 30 minutes. At the end of the experience, you will return to Puerto López.
