Follow the legendary path of Hotu Matu’a, the first king of Rapa Nui, and explore the island’s most iconic archaeological sites. Departing from Hanga Roa, the journey begins at Ahu Akahanga — the “Platform of the King” — believed to be Hotu Matu’a’s burial site. Continue to Rano Raraku Volcano and quarry, where nearly 400 moai were carved from volcanic rock, and visit Ahu Tongariki, the island’s largest platform with fifteen majestic statues.
The tour proceeds to Ahu Te Pito Kura, home to the tallest standing moai, and to the nearby magnetic stone “Te Pito o Te Henua,” known as the Navel of the World. Finally, visit Ahu Nau Nau and the beautiful Anakena Beach, where Hotu Matu’a is said to have first landed.

Our adventure begins with a visit to the impressive Ahu Vaihu and Akahanga, where the stone temples and moai ensembles will transport you to the ancient Rapa Nui culture. See the majesty of the ocean crashing against the cliffs at Ahu Vaihu, and immerse yourself in the timeless atmosphere of Ahu Akahanga, which remains in its original state since the days of the first explorers.
We will continue our trip to the mystical volcanic crater of Rano Raraku, where the enigmatic moais were carved. Here, among the surreal landscapes and ancient history, you will discover around 397 unfinished sculptures that still remain as silent witnesses of the artisanal skill of the island's ancient inhabitants.
Then we will visit Ahu Tongariki, a 200-meter long ceremonial platform that has 15 huge moais. We will also visit Ahu Te Pito Kura where the Moai Paro is located, which is 10 meters high and weighs 85 tons. In this place, we will also find a large spherical stone that is identified as the navel of the world, called "Te Pito or Te Henua".
