Discover the stunning Baltinache Lagoons, a group of seven turquoise salt lagoons located in the heart of the Atacama Desert. Surrounded by the unique beauty of the Salt Flat, this half-day panoramic tour offers an unforgettable experience in one of Chile’s most striking landscapes.

During the tour, you’ll learn about the geological and natural formations of this magical place while admiring the intense blue and green hues created by high concentrations of salt and minerals. Please note that swimming is not allowed to preserve the fragile ecosystem.

You’ll also enjoy a light meal — breakfast in the morning tour or cocktail in the afternoon tour — before returning to San Pedro de Atacama.

    Cordillera de la Sal

We take the route that connects it with the village of Calama, crossing the Cordillera de la Sal. After approximately 25 km of travelling, we will find a group of seven incredible salt water lagoons, known as the Hidden Lagoons of Baltinache, because of the difficulty of accessing them.

The Baltinache Lagoons are characterised by their great scenic beauty, thanks to the transparency of their waters, which also have a very high salinity level, producing a flotation effect when swimming in them (as happens with the Cejar Lagoon and the Dead Sea). You will be able to take a relaxing salt bath and float in its waters, while enjoying the incredible scenery. You can only swim in the first and last of the lagoons. They have bathroom and shower facilities.
