Take advantage of our tour to Chiloé from Puerto Varas to learn more about the customs of this magical island that, due to its isolation, is the cradle of incredible myths and legends that remain today.
Through the Isla Grande tour, you will learn much more about this island, going further and visiting the cities of Ancud, Castro and Dalcahue. It will be an impressive visit full of nature and magical stories that you won't want to miss!
The pick up transfer is only from selected centrally located hotels. If your hotel is outside the geographic area, we will confirm you the closest meeting point. Indicate the name and address of your hotel.
At 8 Hrs we will be picked up by our selected hotels to go to the ferry that will help us cross the Chucao Canal, which will take us to the city of the same name.
Here we will make a visit that will allow us to know the oldest city on the island.
We will arrive at the city of Ancud, where we will visit the Local Museum, the Municipal Market and the Fort of San Antonio; Historical complex located in the upper part of the city, built at the end of the 18th century and which is part of one of the last Spanish fortifications in our country.
Then we will go to the city of Castro, which is the capital of the Isla Grande de Chiloé. Here we will know the Plaza de Armas, the impressive churches we will go to the Gamboa Neighborhood viewpoint where we can admire the famous Palafitos, constructions made in the water. We will have time for lunch in a typical place on the island. (Lunch not included)
Leaving Castro we will visit Dalcahue, known for its Craft Fair, which every Sunday brings together artisans from all over the archipelago to market their most varied products.
In the afternoon, after this incredible visit, we will return to Puerto Varas at approximately 6 PM.
