Discover one of the most beautiful cities of the Argentinean Patagonia and enjoy all the peace and tranquility of the Lake Lácar and the Andean forest.
On this trip we will tour one of the most beautiful roads in Argentine Patagonia: we will travel the 7 lakes Route until we reach Villa Langostura, a city that seems to come out of a fairy tale.
In addition, we will explore the Lanín National Park, to marvel at a magnificent natural landscape and landmarks such as Huechulafquen Lake and the imposing Lanín Volcano.

    Upon arriving at the airport of San Martin de los Andes or the bus terminal, you will be welcomed and transferred to your hotel in the city center. The rest of the day will be free, to enjoy it as you prefer.

    7 Lakes Route and visit to Villa la Angostura

    Route of the Seven Lakes

    In the morning we will leave by the route of the 7 lakes, inside the Andean Patagonian forest. Internationally recognized for its incomparable beauty, the Route of the 7 Lakes is a four-hour trip (including stops). On the way we will make several stops to get to know the different viewpoints that hide diverse panoramas and unique views of each lake.

    Villa La Angostura

    Finally, we will arrive to Villa La Agostura. Located on the northwest of Lake Nahuel Huapi, this city has one of the most picturesque mountain landscapes in Argentina. It is immersed in the Nahuel Huapi National Park, surrounded by lakes and framed in the main protected areas of Patagonia. The forests are furrowed by rivers, waterfalls and mountains that alter their colors, renewing their beauty through the seasons.

    Here we will get to know the lake port, Quintupuray, the Messidor, the city center and its surroundings. You will have free time to explore the city at your own pace, and then in the afternoon we will be returning to San Martín de los Andes.

    This is one of the seven lakes we will enjoy during this trip, nestled within the stunning landscapes of Patagonia, Argentina. Lago Escondido, or Hidden Lake, offers serene surroundings, clear waters, and is surrounded by mountains and forests.

    Lago Correntoso

    Continuing our journey, and as part of the route of the seven lakes we'll encounter Lago Correntoso, one of the highlights of this route. Anglers are drawn to Lago Correntoso for its abundance of trout, making it a favorite spot for fishing enthusiasts.

    "As we continue along the route to Villa la Angostura, we'll encounter Lago Espejo Grande, aptly named for its crystal-clear waters that resemble a mirror. This picturesque lake offers a serene escape amidst lush forests and snow-capped peaks.

    Huechulafquen Lake and Lanin Volcano

    We leave at 09:00 am from our hotel in San Martin de los Andes to travel about 42 km towards our destination. Along the way, there will be a stop in the town of Junin de los Andes to tour the city, visiting the Church-monument to Laura Vicuña y Nuestra Sra. De las Nieves, a very important one due to its link with the Mapuche culture, which earned it recognition from the Vatican.

    Leaving Junín, a few kilometers later, we will have the first view of the lake Huechulafquen with the imposing Lanin Volcano on the back. We will walk along the beaches until we arrive to the nascent of the River Chimehuín, internationally known for trout fishing.

    We get back up in our vehicles to travel to the entrance of the Lanin National Park. As we move into the park, we begin to observe the ancient Araucaria forests, until we arrive to the quinchos that are hosted by the Cañicul Mapuche community. In these restaurants you can taste some of the finest grilled meats and a variety of salads (lunch not included and optional).

    Traveling by van, we reach the southern base of the Lanin Volcano, the highlight of our journey. This spot marks the beginning of our hikes towards its summit. Here, we're closest to the volcano, surrounded by its majestic presence and the captivating glaciers. It's a moment of wonder and anticipation, as we prepare to explore the beauty of nature's masterpiece.

    We continue our journey to reach Lake Paimún, where we will have the opportunity to visit another chapel, and a very special, because of its location and the symbology of different cultures that can be found in it. We return to our hotel in San Martin de los Andes at approximately 07 pm.
