24-hour pickup is available on Day 1 from Lhasa Airport or Lhasa Railway Station. The driver will meet travelers according to their actual flight or train arrival time and transfer them directly to the hotel in Lhasa. Please provide your arrival and departure details in advance. Drop-off to Lhasa Airport or Lhasa Railway Station is also provided on Day 7 according to your flight or train schedule.
Upon arrival at Lhasa Airport or Railway Station, meet your driver and transfer directly to your designated hotel in Lhasa. Pickup is available 24 hours a day and will be arranged according to your flight or train arrival time. After check-in, enjoy free time to rest and acclimatize to Lhasa’s altitude of approximately 3,650 meters. Avoid strenuous activity on the first day.
After hotel breakfast, meet at 8:30 AM and transfer to the Potala Palace. Visit this UNESCO World Heritage Site with a multilingual guide and learn about its history, architecture, and Tibetan Buddhist culture. See precious murals, Thangkas, and Buddha statues while enjoying panoramic views of Lhasa.
Visit Jokhang Temple, one of the most important religious sites in Tibet. Explore its main halls, learn about Tibetan Buddhist traditions, and observe local pilgrims during their devotional practices.
Stroll along Barkhor Street and experience local life in Lhasa. Walk alongside pilgrims on the traditional kora route, browse local handicraft shops, and learn about Tibetan customs and culture.
Tibetan Incense Making Enjoy a complimentary Tibetan incense-making experience under the guidance of a professional instructor. Learn about traditional craftsmanship and the cultural meaning of Tibetan incense, and take your finished product home.
After breakfast, depart from Lhasa and drive approximately 2.5 hours to Yamdrok Lake. Admire the crystal-blue sacred lake surrounded by snow-capped mountains and grasslands. Enjoy free time for photos while the guide introduces the lake’s geography and cultural significance.
Stop at a roadside viewing area to admire Karola Glacier from a distance. Learn about the glacier’s formation and conservation while taking in the dramatic high-altitude scenery. After the visit, continue through the Yarlung Tsangpo Valley to Shigatse and check in at the hotel upon arrival.
After breakfast, depart from Shigatse toward Mount Everest. Travel across Gyatso La Pass and stop briefly to photograph the surrounding snow-capped peaks before continuing to Rongbuk Monastery, the closest monastery to Mount Everest. Explore the monastery and experience the unique religious atmosphere of the Tibetan Plateau.
Arrive in the Mount Everest Base Camp area and check in at the hotel in Everest Town. After a short rest, visit the viewing platform to admire Mount Everest and, weather permitting, enjoy the sunset over the world’s highest peak. The Everest area is approximately 5,200 meters above sea level, so travelers should avoid strenuous activity, keep warm, and carry oxygen.
Wake up early for an optional view of the sunrise over Mount Everest, weather permitting. After breakfast, depart the Everest area and return to Shigatse, passing through Gyatso La Pass and enjoying views of the surrounding snow-capped mountains along the way. Rest stops will be arranged as needed. Upon arrival in Shigatse, check in at the hotel and enjoy free time to rest.
After breakfast, meet at 8:30 AM and visit Tashilhunpo Monastery, with admission included. Explore this important Gelugpa monastery from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM, learning about its history and culture while viewing Buddhist stupas, statues, and murals. Afterwards, enjoy free time for lunch in downtown Shigatse at your own expense. At 12:30 PM, depart for Lhasa by tourist vehicle. The journey takes approximately five hours, with views of the northern Tibetan grasslands and rest stops arranged as needed. Arrive at the hotel in Lhasa at approximately 5:30 PM, check in, and enjoy free time to rest. Dinner is at your own expense.
After breakfast, enjoy free time at the hotel before departure. Your driver will meet you according to your flight or train schedule and provide a direct private transfer to Lhasa Airport or Lhasa Railway Station. The tour ends after drop-off.
