Travel through the Daintree region identifying bush tuka and medijin plants, finishing at Cape Kimberley and Cape Tribulation where rainforest meets reef. We will catch the Gorge Shuttle into Mossman Gorge Daintree National Park where you will learn the creation story, details of local flora and fauna
Start with a traditional Smoking Ceremony and welcome to to Kuku Yalanji Country conducted by Kuku Yalanji traditional owner. Walk the beach and learn of Saltwater Kuku Yalanji customs.
Learn of traditional tool and weapon making customs. The river along the valley provide stones for traditional tools
Learn of traditional fish traps and how sustainable fishing practices were undertaken
Have lunch and relax in the worlds oldest living rainforest, keep a look out for Kurranji "Cassowary" often seen as we make our way to Cape Tribulation where the rainforest meets the sea.
