Come and discover the magic of London like never before. Paseo de la Reina is not just another tour; it is a leisurely, dynamic and charming walk along the iconic South Bank, designed for those who seek to live the city in style, history and authentic local flavor.
Along this comfortable 3km walking tour, we will tour the cultural heart of Britain following in the wake of queens, playwrights, pirates and fascinating stories that shaped the British capital.
London Eye (next to the main ticket offices / statue of Fred Morrison)
Borough Market (great for lunch or sampling local cuisine!)
From the south bank of the Thames (South Bank), right at the start of your walk, you will enjoy one of the most iconic and photographed prints on the planet: the panoramic perspective of the Palace of Westminster and the famous Elizabeth Tower (Big Ben) projecting over the river.
Leaving Parliament behind, we will enter the lively South Bank Promenade, a pedestrian promenade full of life on the banks of the Thames, until we reach the imposing architectural complex of the Royal Festival Hall.
At this stage of the tour we will experience one of the most fascinating urban contrasts of the South Bank : the passage from sober British theatre architecture to a colorful bohemian corner on the banks of the river.
As we proceed along the south bank, we will travel back to the 16th century to meet Shakespeare's Globe, a meticulous reconstruction of the open-air theater where playwright William Shakespeare presented many of his most famous plays.
We will stop at one of the most visited museums of modern and contemporary art in the world, housed in the monumental structure of the former Bankside Power Station.
Directly opposite Tate Modern we find the Millennium Bridge, an impressive steel pedestrian structure linking the south bank with the City of London.
As we approach the end of the route, we will enter one of the oldest areas of London to discover a historic treasure hidden between train viaducts and cobblestone streets: Southwark Cathedral and the replica of the galleon The Golden Hinde.
We arrive at the golden pin of your walk in Borough Market, the oldest, most famous and vibrant food market in London, located in this same place for more than a thousand years.
