Cycle one of China's most spectacular karst peak forests at your own pace — with zero hassle. The Wanfenglin valley floor is laced with public country roads that are free to ride: no ticket gates on the cycling routes, and far from the tour-bus crowds at the main viewpoints. Traffic is usually light, though these are shared rural roads — expect the odd farm vehicle, and busier days on public holidays. The riding is flat and easy. We deliver a bicycle and gear to your accommodation and collect it at the end of the day, so there is no shop to find and no Chinese needed. Please note: the official sightseeing road is open to public cycling only from 7pm to 8am; during the day it is reserved for the official sightseeing vehicles, so daytime riding is on the field paths and public roads. English phone support is included throughout your ride.

We deliver the bicycle and gear (helmet, lock, water, English route map) to your accommodation in the Wanfenglin or Xingyi area at a time arranged after booking, hand everything over at your door, and collect the bike at the same place at the end of the day. Please share your accommodation address and preferred delivery time after booking.

What to expect

Wanfenglin — the "Forest of Ten Thousand Peaks" — is one of China's great cone-karst landscapes. This is a self-guided cycling day arranged the easy way: we deliver a bicycle and gear (helmet, lock, water) to your accommodation in the Wanfenglin / Xingyi area and collect the bike when you are done. In between, the valley is yours — ride the field paths and country roads at your own pace, stop wherever you like, and follow the peaks down farm lanes most visitors never see. There is no fixed itinerary: just bring your phone, as everyone navigates with their own maps here. The riding is easy and mostly flat, suitable for anyone comfortable on a bicycle. Please note: the official sightseeing road is open to public cycling only between 7pm and 8am; at other times it is reserved for official sightseeing vehicles. Daytime riding is on field paths and public roads shared with farm vehicles, and public holidays and peak season can be busy. English phone support is included throughout your ride.
