The first stop is at the beautiful Zhinvali Reservoir, surrounded by green hills and mountain landscapes. Guests will have time to enjoy the panoramic view, take photographs, and learn about the importance of the reservoir for the region.
Visit the historic Ananuri Fortress, located beside the turquoise waters of the Zhinvali Reservoir. Explore the defensive towers, ancient walls, and traditional Georgian churches while learning about the powerful Aragvi dukes who once controlled this important part of the Georgian Military Highway.
Stop near Pasanauri to see the meeting point of the Black and White Aragvi rivers. The two rivers have different colors and flow side by side before joining together. This is also a popular location for scenic photographs.
Visit the famous Gudauri Friendship Monument, positioned on a dramatic cliff overlooking the Caucasus Mountains. Walk along the panoramic viewpoint and admire the colorful Soviet-era mosaic, deep valleys, mountain peaks, and winding roads below.
Arrive in Stepantsminda, also known as Kazbegi, a mountain town surrounded by some of the most impressive peaks in Georgia.
Travel by local four-wheel-drive vehicle to Gergeti Trinity Church, located at approximately 2,170 metres above sea level. The church is one of Georgia’s most iconic landmarks and offers spectacular views of Stepantsminda, the surrounding valleys, and Mount Kazbek. Guests will have time to visit the church, enjoy the mountain scenery, and take photographs. The four-wheel-drive transfer is optional and is paid separately.
After visiting Gergeti Trinity Church, begin the return journey to Tbilisi. A short comfort stop may be made along the way.
