Island time, done easy: we handle the ferry, the driving, and the planning, so all you have to do is enjoy the food, the views, and the beaches.
We know the island's daily rhythm — which ferry to catch, when the oyster shed opens, where to find the cheesemaker — so the day runs smoothly from first bite to last.
Explore in a private vehicle with a local driver-guide who knows every hidden bay, and pull over whenever a view demands it.
We run our own fleet and never on-sell your booking, so the island is yours for the day — at your pace, your way.

As Tasmania’s southernmost island, Bruny Island is virtually free of light pollution, so the Milky Way blazes across the night sky—and it’s also a prime spot for viewing the aurora australis. With few residents and only a handful of eateries, the island is mostly raw, untamed nature, making it a haven for rare and endangered wildlife. Bruny actually comprises two landmasses—north and south—linked by a slender isthmus called The Neck. We’ve curated a one-day itinerary that makes the most of it all.
The moment visitors set foot on Bruny Island, many make a beeline for Get Shucked to devour its famous oysters—because dining options are scarce and close early, so if you wait until after exploring, you’ll likely be met with a locked door. Get Shucked offers a mixed dozen: four fresh, four grilled, and four crispy-fried, each one plump and mouthwateringly good. Besides oysters, they also serve fries, bread, and more.
Bruny Island Cheese Company sells handcrafted cheeses and house-brewed beverages, along with jarred pickles—think pickled vegetables, beetroot, onions, and more—all in generous variety. And don't be fooled: those blocks you see aren't bread; they're dense, hefty wedges of cheese with golden-yellow interiors that look absolutely irresistible. Go for the cheese platter—it comes with a selection of different cheeses, bread, and pickles—pair it with a drink and share with friends. Cheese lovers, this is one stop you simply cannot miss!
The Neck—the slender isthmus that links Bruny Island's north and south—is an absolute must-see. Also known as the "North-South Link," it's a haven for little penguins and short-tailed shearwaters, and if you're lucky, you might even spot them waddling about. The area splits into two paths: one leads along a boardwalk down to the beach, while the other takes you up a 297-step staircase—about five minutes of climbing—to the Truganini Lookout. Once at the top, you're rewarded with sweeping views of the isthmus and the two bays that flank it. On one side, Adventure Bay churns with rolling waves; on the other, Isthmus Bay lies calm and glassy. The contrast is nothing short of spectacular, and with the distant mountain range cutting across the horizon, you can clearly see two distinct shades of blue where sea meets sky.
Cape Bruny Lighthouse stands tall at Australia’s southernmost tip, earning it the dramatic nickname “the end of the world”—and it certainly sounds the part. As the country’s second-oldest lighthouse, you can pay a small fee to go inside and climb the tower. Perched on a grassy headland, the gleaming white structure offers sweeping vistas. Some claim you can spot Antarctica from here, but having seen it with our own eyes, we can confirm it's still far too distant—instead, what you'll get are breathtaking views of the blue sky and the magnificent fjord-like coastline below.
Our main reason for heading to Adventure Bay? To spot the elusive white wallabies! These rare, ghostly creatures are found nowhere else but Bruny Island—their snowy coats are the result of a genetic quirk, and with their fluffy, bunny-like appearance, they're utterly adorable. That said, they're also extremely skittish; the closer you get, the farther they hop away. So as much as you'll want to shower them with affection, do hold back—don't rush in and scare them off.
