I will pick you up at your home, hotel, or vacation rental in my comfortable Ford Maverick Hybrid and we’ll head to Atlanta’s historic Sweet Auburn neighborhood. Located just east of Downtown Atlanta, Sweet Auburn is the historic heart and soul of Atlanta.
We'll visit the Martin Luther King Jr National Historic Park. We’ll stop at the Visitor Center, the childhood home of Dr. King, Ebenezer Baptist Church, the King Center, and the King tomb.
From the Martin Luther King Historic District, we’ll head over to historic, hip, and colorful Cabbagetown and take a look at the locally famous Krog Street Tunnel and take a quick stroll on the Atlanta Beltline. We’ll have a couple of fun lunch options (price of lunch not included).
Next up is Midtown, which to Atlanta locals, is more downtown than Downtown, we’ll see the fabulous Fox Theatre, Atlanta’s “gayborhood,” and the High Museum at Arts District Plaza.
Then we’ll motor up to Atlanta’s third downtown – Buckhead. We’ll see Buckhead’s gleaming upscale shopping and luxury high-rise commercial district and also the posh leafy residential areas of the wealthiest neighborhood in the South.
Finally, we’ll head to Downtown Atlanta for a bird’s eye view of ALL of metro Atlanta from the 72nd floor of The Westin Peachtree Plaza. We’ll drive by some of Atlanta’s most visited tourist attractions – The Georgia Aquarium, The National Center for Civil and Human Rights, SkyView Atlanta, and Centennial Park.
