What to expect

Designed for travelers who appreciate fine dining and authentic cultural experiences, this private experience combines exceptional Japanese cuisine with cultural storytelling.

Your host is an experienced local tea ceremony instructor who shares the traditions, aesthetics, and hospitality behind Japanese dining.

Before your experience, we'll ask about your culinary preferences, dietary requirements, and special requests. Based on your interests, we'll select and reserve one of Kanazawa's finest restaurants.

Many are small, highly regarded establishments that can be difficult for international visitors to discover or reserve independently.

Meet your guide at the restaurant at 6:00 PM.

During dinner, your host will explain how Kanazawa's history, seasonal ingredients, and culture have shaped its cuisine. You'll also discover the connection between Japanese cuisine and tea ceremony, including its philosophy of hospitality and respect for nature.

Your guide will explain Japanese dining etiquette and answer questions.

Whenever possible, you'll have the opportunity to meet the chef and learn about their philosophy and craftsmanship.

The experience concludes around 8:30 PM.
