Guests who wish to visit the Stairway to Heaven should begin the walk immediately upon arrival and manage their time carefully. For those choosing this optional self-guided walk, the recommended return point is the Stairway to Heaven / Miradouro da Pedra Rija viewpoint. Tickets included if necessary. Guests should not continue further along the trail.
The return transfer usually departs approximately 15 minutes after sunset.
We will comfortably drive you into the awe-inspiring beauty of Madeira’s mountains. Please dress warmly, as it can be windy and chilly at the peak, especially after sunset.
