What's Included
Meeting and pickup
We contact you on the phone number in your booking to agree an exact pickup point and time. On the day a member of our team meets you there and calls you on arrival, so please keep your phone on. Transfer to our base takes 10 to 20 minutes. Pickup and drop-off are free anywhere in Gozo.
Arriving by ferry, wait outside the terminal exit at Mġarr Harbour once you have disembarked. A member of our team will be waiting and will call you on the number in your booking to identify themselves. We then drive you to our base in Għajnsielem, about 10 minutes away.
The rental ends back at our base on Triq Borġ Għarib in Għajnsielem, where we carry out a brief condition check. We then drive you back to your accommodation or to the Mġarr ferry terminal, free of charge.
What to expect
The customer books online, selecting the buggy, the date and the rental duration (2, 4 or 6 hours). Payment is taken in full at the time of booking.
2. Confirmation
An automated confirmation is issued immediately with the booking reference, vehicle, date and times, plus driver requirements: minimum age 21, valid Category B (car) licence held for at least 2 years. International licences are accepted.
3. Pickup arrangement
Ahead of the rental date our team contacts the customer to agree an exact pickup point and time. Free island-wide collection is offered anywhere in Gozo, including the Gozo Ferry Terminal at Mġarr and accommodation in Victoria, Marsalforn, Xlendi, Nadur, Qala and Xagħra.
4. Collection
On the day, a member of our team meets the customer at the agreed location and transfers them to our showroom. Transfer time is typically 10-20 minutes depending on the location. Out-of-hours pickups are available on request.
5. Check-in and documentation
At the showroom the driver presents their licence and ID and signs the rental agreement. Fully comprehensive insurance is included in every rental.
6. Safety briefing and vehicle handover
Every customer receives a vehicle orientation and safety briefing covering controls, handling, road rules and recommended routes for their experience level. Helmets are provided for all riders. The vehicle is handed over with a starter tank of fuel and a printed map of suggested routes.
7. The self-drive experience
The customer drives independently at their own pace, following one of our recommended routes or their own itinerary. A direct contact number is provided for the duration of the rental. In the event of a breakdown or incident, the customer stops in a safe place and calls our team, who provide assistance on the spot.
8. Return
The customer returns the vehicle to our showroom at the agreed end time. Our team carries out a brief condition check and confirms the rental is closed.
9. Drop-off
A return transfer is included free of charge, taking the customer back to their accommodation or to the Gozo Ferry Terminal.
