Localnauts GPS Treasure Hunt The Lost Chest of Rixdorf

3 hours (approximately)
Offered in: German and 1 more

Three things make this different from a city walk.

The kids lead. Your crew shares one device. Two roles rotate at every station, and at six stations the crew makes a decision together. Grown-ups can walk alongside or join in as Nauts.

The adventure is made up, the history is not. The lost chest is a story. The facts around it are real: in 1737, Bohemian refugee families settled next to the old village of Rixdorf, and every fact in the game is backed by a source, listed on our website.

You set the pace. Stop for cake, sit down on a bench, carry on when you’re ready. The route waits.

What to expect

Your crew follows a 2.5 km route through the Bohemian Village of Rixdorf, with ten stations along the way. At each station the children photograph a trace and crack a puzzle. At six of them the crew also makes a decision together, and there is no model answer. Every station opens a drawer of the lost chest. The story takes them back to 1737, when Bohemian families arrived here and built a community that still shapes the neighbourhood. Two roles rotate at every station: the Navigator leads the way, and the Chronicler reads the station text aloud, takes the crew photo and moderates the discussion. Everyone is a Naut and solves together. Adults are welcome to play along. Nauti, your guide in the browser, gives hints when you’re stuck. You set the pace and can pause whenever you like. At the end the crew finds the solution word, opens the chest and keeps four digital souvenirs: the sealed charter, the Orbit diploma, the crew photo collage and a logbook of their decisions. You can print them right away at a photo kiosk, for example in a drugstore nearby.
