Hay Castle is the centrepiece of the hunt: a Norman fortress with around 900 years of history, right in the middle of town. Travelers will see the restored castle walls and grounds, the famous outdoor "honesty bookshop" shelves tucked into the walls, and the dramatic arcaded gateway. Here they'll solve a clue that makes them study the castle's stonework closely, while learning how a Welsh border fortress became the symbol of the world's first Town of Books.
