Explore the beauty of the west coast on a guided educational walk along the Truman Track. Led by a knowledgeable, charismatic local guide, this experience will be to be both informative, enjoyable and at a relaxed pace . Participants will enjoy refreshments and snacks during the walk, taking time to stop and relax in this beautiful place. In case of unexpected weather, a waterproof poncho and umbrella are provided for comfort.

The Truman track carpark is 3km, a 5 min drive from the center of Punakaiki. Or a 35 to 45 min walk along a shared Pedestrian and cycle path. If traveling from Greymouth or Westport it is an approximate 45 min drive along one of the worlds most stunning costal drives!

    You can expect to start out walking through pristine native bush, stopping frequently to learn about different fauna on the journey. There is potential to get a taste for some edible plants and explore hidden treasures others might miss. Soon enough the trail will open up to epic costal views, crashing waves and a secluded beach with inspiring rock formations, which we will make time to explore.
