Depart from Yerevan and head toward the sparkling Lake Sevan, one of the largest high-altitude freshwater lakes in the world. Climb the steps to the Sevanavank Monastery, founded in the 9th century on what was once an island. Garni Temple
Continue to the Temple of Garni, the only surviving example of pagan architecture in the region.
