Admire and understand more about jewelries of the Universe: craters on Moon, Venus phases, Jupiter's satellites, Saturn's rings, stars, constellations, double and binary stars Alcor and Mizar, Hercules' stellar cluster, Orion nebula, the great Andromeda galaxy, Leo galaxy groups, how the stars are born and why "we are stardust"?

The observing spot will be a dark sky located in a beautiful mountain region of La Palma island, the first world Starlight Reserve, which hosts some of the largest world telescopes in the astronomical observatory "Roque de los Muchachos".

Have fun during 2 hours, ask questions and receive educated answers and assistance from your astronomy guide, aformer professional astronomer whose life has been driven throughout the world by his passion for astronomy, assisted by his powerful telescope and binoculars.

Meeting point

Asphalt mountain road LP-301 km 6, at 1300m altitude. Look for a white Volkswagen Caddy parked outside the road, your guide will be there with his telescope.

What to expect

Following sunset, attend a 2-3 hours night experience to learn about the Universe, assisted by an expert astronomer with experience in research, education and public outreach, and his powerful 30-cm diameter GOTO telescope and binoculars. Observe at least 10 astronomical objects (stars, clusters, nebulae, galaxies, the Milky Way, Moon and planets), assisted by simple explanations of the phenomena which govern the heavens and receiving answers to your curios questions. If time allows, take a unique group memory or romantic couple astro-photography below the heavens.
