What to expect

Step into a family kitchen and uncover the smoky, sweet, and savory soup of Hungary. In this hands-on workshop, we dive deep into the two most beloved pillars of Hungarian cuisine: the iconic Goulash and Palacsinta (Hungarian pancake).
We begin with the Goulash. This isn't just a soup. Under the guidance of a local food enthusiast, you’ll learn why the order of ingredients matters and how to create that rich, deep red staple using Paprika. You’ll also learn how to pinch Csipetke—the traditional hand-made bits of pasta that give the soup its texture.

Next, we flip the script. While the French have crepes, Hungarians have the Palacsinta. You will learn the art of preparing the perfect Palacsinta and flip them like a local. Whether you prefer them filled with sweet apricot jam, creamy vanilla cottage cheese, you’ll master the folding and rolling techniques that have satisfied sweet tooths for centuries.

Finally, we’ll sit down together to enjoy the fruit of our labor. And toast to your new skills with a glass of wine or a homemade refreshing local soda.
