Taste Jaipur the way locals do, on an evening walk through the Pink City's busiest bazaars. Hosted by the team at Madpackers Jaipur, who have led 500+ food tours since 2023, this small-group walk takes you to the family-run stalls and shops we eat not in tourist restaurants.
In about 2 hours you'll try 6 vegetarian favourites: crispy aloo tikki chaat at Ramchandra, pani puri from a street cart, Samrat's famous hot kachori, rich kesar makkhan from a traditional dairy, a sweet meetha paan at Murli Paan, and classic kulfi at Pandit Kulfi near Hawa Mahal. Along the way, your local guide shares the stories behind each dish and the old city itself.
Groups are small (max 10), all food is included, and every stop is trusted for taste and hygiene. Come hungry!
Meet at the reception of Madpackers Jaipur Hostel. Please arrive 10 minutes before the start time.
Start with crispy aloo tikki chaat at Ramchandra, topped with curd, tangy chutneys and spices. Your guide shares how chaat became Jaipur's favourite evening snack.
Try a sweet meetha paan at Murli Paan and learn about paan culture, a centuries-old after-meal ritual in India.
Eat pani puri like a local at a busy street-side stall: crispy puris filled with spicy, tangy flavoured water, served one by one.
Taste Samrat's famous hot kachori with chutney, fried fresh at one of the old city's best-loved snack shops.
Next door, a traditional dairy serves kesar makkhan, a light, creamy saffron sweet that locals love.
End the tour with traditional kulfi at the iconic Pandit Kulfi, near the famous Hawa Mahal (Palace of Winds).
