Taste Cebu. Hear its stories. Experience the city like a local.
This is an immersive journey through Cebu where food becomes the way we uncover the city's history, culture, and everyday life.
This is more than a food tour. We walk through local neighborhoods and markets, taste the food Cebuanos actually enjoy, hear the stories behind the dishes and traditions, and experience the city beyond the usual tourist stops.
Along the way, you'll discover how Cebu's history, people, and everyday life have shaped the food you find on its streets today.

Meet inside McDonald's across from Magellan's Cross. I'll be at the long table near the entrance door, wearing a "Love the Philippines" guide lanyard, with my hat on the table.
The story of Cebu begins here. Look up at the painted ceiling as you are told how the Spanish arrived in 1521 and how Spanish ingredients and culinary influences became part of Cebuano cuisine.
Walk through one of Cebu’s oldest public markets, where you’ll be shown the ingredients behind everyday Cebuano dishes. Then, taste puto maya (sticky rice with coconut milk and ginger) paired with sikwate (thick hot chocolate) and sweet, fresh mango. Wear comfortable shoes, as the market can get crowded and lively.
This is the most immersive part of the tour. Step into an everyday neighborhood, away from the tourist trail, where food is prepared the traditional way and shared with neighbors. Roll up your sleeves and make something with your own hands, then taste it fresh while learning the story behind it. Expect friendly locals, a few laughs, and a side of Cebu that most visitors never get to see.
Puso Village: This lively food court brings together local flavors in a contemporary setting, offering a glimpse into how Cebu’s culinary traditions continue to evolve.
