I am a freelance professional who has lived in Sichuan for ten years. I studied journalism and researched unofficial newspapers from the Cultural Revolution. This sparked my interest in modern Chinese history, social movements, and the lives of ordinary people.

I love history, culture, and travel. I have visited Japan, Taiwan, Southeast Asia, and Europe, and museums and art galleries are among my favourite places.

Join me on a day trip from Chengdu to the Jianchuan Museum Cluster in Dayi County. We will enjoy local Sichuan cuisine near Anren Ancient Town before exploring the museums.

Our visit will focus on the Red Memory Museum and the Cultural Revolution. Through historical artefacts, documents, and personal stories, we will explore how this period shaped Chinese society and how its legacy continues to influence China today.

This experience is ideal for travellers who want to go beyond traditional sightseeing and gain a deeper understanding of modern China.

We will depart from Chengdu and head straight to the Jianchuan Museum Cluster in Dayi County, where we will spend 3–4 hours. The tour will focus on six exhibition halls related to Chinese history from 1949 to 1978, including: the Porcelain Hall, Badges/Clocks/Stamps Hall, Everyday Items Hall, Mirrors Hall, Educated Youth Life Hall, and the Li Zhensheng Photography Museum. The depth of coverage for each hall can be flexibly adjusted based on visitor interest, but the primary focus will center on contemporary Chinese history, particularly the Cultural Revolution period.
