The Central Cemetery is the city's largest open-air museum.
People often associate cemeteries with death, it is natural. But isn't it a place for memory? The art installed there is screaming messages of love all the time.
In marble, bronze, and granite, unusual stories rest: buried treasures whose fate is uncertain; the greatest work of art by one of the founding sculptors of our tradition; a Uruguayan who survived a shipwreck to die in another in a totally unusual way; warrior and political heroes; the creator of the cumparsita and the traces of national identity and sensitivity.
But of course, you have to cheer up. Do you dare?
(immersive experience: alternates moments of dialogue with the guide and musical instances, headphones and phone essential).
