To maximize time in the most scenic part of the fjord, this experience begins with a scenic transfer (private car or train) from Bergen city center to our quiet boarding area (about 55–60 minutes). Once there, you’ll change into thermal flotation suits to stay warm and comfortable before boarding.
We operate with both pontoon boats and rigid inflatable boats (RIB/Zodiac) depending on weather and group setup:
Pontoon boat: slower, extremely stable, with luxury reclining chairs (comfort-first)
RIB/Zodiac: faster and more dynamic, with simpler seating
At the end of the fjord experience, you’ll enjoy a one-way scenic return to Bergen with a short 6–8 minute walk to the train station for the Fjord Train back to the city.
Departure direction (morning vs noon):
Morning departure: starts with private car out from Bergen, returns by scenic train
Noon departure: starts with the train from Bergen Station to Bolstad, returns by private car
Group size & boats:
Each boat has a maximum of 12 travelers. For larger groups, please let us know at booking if you need two or more boats. We always choose the boat setup that best fits the day’s weather and your group for the most comfortable experience.

Boarding & “the fjord becomes private” This is where the day flips from car transfer / sightseeing to real fjord immersion. We board our specially built Pontoon / Zodiac, designed for efficiency and a light footprint, and head into a fjord area that stays remarkably untouched because very few people ever reach it. Think: fewer crowds, more silence, more “how is this real?” moments.

Bergen Railway Station (Final stop in the heart of the city) Your return ends at Bergen Railway Station, right in the center of Bergen. From here, you’re only minutes away from the city’s most central hotels and the cruise port. If you have luggage or prefer not to walk, taxis are always waiting right outside for a quick and easy ride.
