Join us for a walking feast through Sarajevo’s old town and beyond, where every bite tells a story and every stop uncovers a new layer of the city’s rich cultural mix. Led by passionate local hosts, this tour offers authentic Bosnian flavors, local traditions, and a behind-the-scenes look into everyday life that guidebooks can't show you.

You’ll taste your way through Sarajevo’s rich culinary identity—starting with freshly baked somun bread paired with smoky cured meats and artisanal cheeses, followed by hand-rolled pita and fresh yougurt. We’ll then visit a local aščinica, a traditional Bosnian eatery, where you’ll try warm, home-style dishes just like locals have for generations. The experience continues with a tasting of up to three types of rakija—or, for those who prefer non-alcoholic options, a sweet ending awaits with baklava and Bosnian coffee prepared the traditional way.
We don’t just feed you—we reveal to you where East meets West in the most delicious way.

What to expect

Greet your guide at the entrance of Tržnica, the indoor city market where locals buy fresh food produced in untouched nature, in places with plenty of clean air and healthy spring water. Immerse yourself to the world of delicious cheeses, unforgettable tastes of cured and smoked meat and other products prepared by centuries-old recipes. Feel the rhythm of the city as you discover the stories behind the cultural, historical and social sites of the city's core: City Market, Liberation square, Orthodox church, medieval tombs, Obala Kulina Bana Street, National Theatre, Tito's Street, Eternal Flame, Markale, Cathedral, Jewish Quarter, Gazi Husrev Bey's Mosque, Baščaršija, Sebilj.

Learn how Bosnian pie (pita) is made and try some in a buregdžinica (traditional pie restaurant) where Sarajevans eat. As you walk along Tito's street and Obala Kulina Bana street enjoy sounds and freshness of Miljacka river and hear backstories about important Sarajevo buildings and monuments, and afterward, reward your plate with some Bosnian traditional cooked dishes and watch as they are prepared in a traditional restaurant. The tour ends in the heart of Baščaršija, where we will have some homemade brandy, juice and/or coffee and enjoy the ambiance of a typical Bosnian cafe. Bid your guide and group farewell but feel free to remain in the bar after the tour concludes.
