Situated at the height of 1100 meters, commonly known as Shanti, the World Peace Stupa located on the Anadu Hill of Pumdi Bhumdi Village is a special Buddhist monument. It was built by Nipponzan-Myōhōji monk Morioka Sonin with local supporters under the guidance of Nichidatsu Fujii, a Buddhist monk and the founder of Nipponzan-Myōhōji. Shanti, the Sanskrit word that does mean peace, also widely used in the Nepali and Hindi languages, indicates Peace Pagoda as it was built as a symbol of peace. One can see the total ranges of Dhaulagiri and Annapurna including the beautiful peak Machhapuchhere, the Fishtail. We can drive or hike up to the Peace Pagoda and can visit Davi's Fall and Guptashwar on the way back.
