Shivapuri Nagarjun National Park is the ninth national park in Nepal, established in 2002. It is located in the mid-hills on the northern side of the Kathmandu Valley, named after Shivapuri Peak, which stands at an altitude of 2,732 meters (8,963 feet). As the closest national park to the capital city, it offers not only magnificent mountain views but also glimpses of wild animals. During this tour, you’ll have the opportunity to spot eight species of stork, egret, woodpecker, black-headed shrike, six species of pheasant, 17 species of cuckoo, and three species of crow. The best time for bird-watching trips is between March and December.
