Escape Madrid for a full-day small-group tour and discover three very different wineries, from traditional family estates to modern producers.

With an expert wine guide, you’ll learn the basics of Tempranillo, how Ribera del Duero wines are made, and what makes this region so well known, while enjoying a relaxed and easy day.

At each winery, enjoy guided tastings of several local wines, often led by winery staff or winemakers. Tapas are included during the visits, along with a traditional local lunch.

Plaza del Conde de Casal, 6, 28007 Madrid Closest Metro Station: Conde de Casal (Line 6) The use of cafeteria facilities is only allowed for their customers. Please, don't be late, the tour departs on time. Always estimate it will take you 10-20min longer than what maps say and plan your route to the meeting point the night before. It is possible to join the group at the first stop, but any additional cost to catch up is the responsibility of the client who did not arrive on time. You will be picked up in Madrid at 9:15am and depart towards Ribera del Duero. The Duero river, also known as the river of wine, is about 2 hours from Madrid and it is the home of tempranillo, the most famous Spanish grape variety (red wines with full body and lots of fruit).

    Third winery: a medieval underground cellar, with a total length of about 4 mi and excavated about 40 ft deep (networks of incredible tunnels that run through the subsoil of the city and are intended for the preservation of wines that have been made since the Middle Age). Here, we will learn part of the history of the Ribera del Duero. Please note that this itinerary is an example only and may be subject to change.
