Please, don't be late, the tour departs on time. Always estimate it will take you 10-20min longer than what maps say and plan your route to the meeting point the night before. It is possible to join the group at the first stop, but any additional cost to catch up is the responsibility of the client who did not arrive on time. You will be picked up in Madrid at 9:15am and depart towards Ribera del Duero. The Duero river, also known as the river of wine, is about 2 hours from Madrid and it is the home of tempranillo, the most famous Spanish grape variety (red wines with full body and lots of fruit).

You will do a full visit in the first winery, learning about winemaking in Ribera (riverside in Spanish), and understanding tempranillo wine from the grape to the bottle. First stop will be one of the most representative wineries in the region, where you will taste the freshness and elegance of their aged wines, feeling the extraordinary complexity of this land. Second Winery: The second winery we visit is in harmonious modernity with the environment; it is open to the vineyards. This link between the interior and the exterior is a statement of the necessary functionality of spaces, nature and history. Everything stands up as a new concept of wine. We always select wineries that are different, mixing tradition and modernity, to get a broad understanding of one of the most famous wine regions in the world. Every stop will bring a surprise and you will learn about traditional wine making, modern architecture and limited productions that make special wines. There will be free time to have lunch at your own choice (lunch is not included in tour price: we do not impose a menu). You can lunch in a traditional restaurant with several options of Castilian regional food ranging from tapas, a light lunch or a full 3-course lunch (approx. budget: tapas 12/15€, full 3-course 30€). Third winery: a medieval underground cellar, with a total length of about 4 mi and excavated about 40 ft deep (networks of incredible tunnels that run through the subsoil of the city and are intended for the preservation of wines that have been made since the Middle Age). Here, we will learn part of the history of the Ribera del Duero. Please note that this itinerary is an example only and may be subject to change. After the scenic stops, all that remains is to relax and enjoy the return to Madrid. The arrival will take place around 20h. The Ribera del Duero Wine Tour from Madrid, ends at the original meeting point.
