a place filled with fascinating stories from the mid-1800s. We’ll discover how gas lights were first exhibited here and hear amusing anecdotes, including a funny tale about Jinnah, the father of Pakistan. This is the same place where Gandhi’s ashes were kept for the people to come to pay their respects. We'll also share an intriguing secret—the Asiatic Society houses a hidden treasure, a 14th-century copy of Dante's Divine Comedy. Although not accessible to the public, this precious artefact was so valuable that Mussolini once offered a staggering one million pounds for it.
