Begin your adventure at the protected Tsuuk Akumal Natural Park, where you’ll meet your certified snorkeling guide, who will provide a short briefing on safety and the best way to observe sea turtles respectfully. Pick up your snorkeling gear and life jacket, then walk onto the soft white sands of Akumal Beach, where turquoise waves invite you in. Slip into the calm Caribbean waters and follow your guide into a marine world filled with life. Watch as schools of tropical fish flash past, stingrays glide gracefully over the sandy seabed, and corals sway with the gentle current. The highlight comes when you encounter Akumal’s most famous residents—the sea turtles. You’ll watch them rise to the surface for air and gracefully return to feed on the seagrass, undisturbed by your presence.
