This Glimpse of Everest Trek is comparatively easy one to some of other treks in Everest Region. The trek takes you up to Tengboche Monastery (3850m) through Namche Bazar; the gateway to Everest Base Camp. Although, it is a short trek, offers very scenic trek giving you a really superb view of the world's highest peaks, including Mt. Everest, Mt. Lhotse, Mt. Thamserku, Mt. Amadablam and other many snowy peaks.

This trek definitely gives a great introduction to Sherpa country and its culture along with fine mountain views. During trekking, you really find the area as a very popular destination for first time trekkers in Nepal. The trek is the best suited especially for those people who haven't enough time for longer treks into the high mountains.

    Fly to Lukla (2800m) and trek to Phakding (2610m)

    Flights to Lukla

    Today early in the morning, we drive about 15 minutes to Tribhuwan Airport International. After 30 minutes flight to Lukla (2804 meters), we begin our trek to Phakding (2610 meters).

    Trek to Namche Bazar (3535m)

    Trek to Namche Bazar (3535 meters); a 6 hour walking through Dudhkoshi River.

    Acclimatization day in Namche

    This is a day for an acclimatization. We take a walk around the valley to adjust with thin air. Namche Bazar is known as the gateway of the Everest. We will also take you to the Sherpa museum on the same day. There you can see the traditional custom of Sherpa peoples. Besides, a fine view of the Everest and other mountains can be over viewed from this place.

    Trek to Tengboche Monastery (3867m)

    Tengboche lies on a ridge at an altitude of 3,867 meters [12,700 feet]. From Tengboche there are spectacular views of some of the world’s highest mountains including Ama Dablam [6,812 meters], Nuptse [7,855 meters], Lhotse [8,516 meters], Thamserku [6,623 meters] and Kantega [6,779 meters]. The ice walls of these mountains dominate the landscape and avalanches can frequently be heard rumbling high up the glaciers.

    Trek to Dingboche (4350m / 6 hours)

    As usual days, you will start your trek after breakfast between 7-8 am. You will trek through the Dudhkoshi River, cross the small village of Pangboche and reach Dingboche in 5-6 hours.

    To adjust to thin air, you will make a day trip to Chhukung Valley or trek as high as possible.

    Trek to Lobuche (4950m / 5 hours)

    Enjoy your trek overlooking the great view of Mt. Amadablam and the nice village of Pheriche in the down valley. In 4-5 hours, you will reach Lobuche.

    Trek to Everest Base camp (5400m ) and return to Ghorakshep (5160m) - 7-8 hours

    Everest Base Camp

    Your goal for today's trek is to reach Everest Base Camp. Leaving Labuje early in the morning, you will reach Ghorakshep in 3 hours. Before you proceed to Base camp, you will leave your luggage at your guesthouse in Ghorakshep. By the evening, you will return to Ghorakshep for an overnight stay.

    Trek to Kalapathar (5545m), then return to Pheriche (4280m / 7 hours)

    To enjoy the close-up view of Mt. Everest, you will leave early in the morning, and in a 2-hour hike, you will reach Kala Patthar, the best viewpoint to capture the picture of Mt. Everest.
