Take adventure and enjoy multi-days hiking to Annapurna Base Camp; also known as Annapurna Sanctuary. It's an ideal trek; best called as a classic hiking right into the heart of the Annapurna mountains and your gentle hiking will start from lowland terrain of Nayapul to the outstanding high mountains with breathtaking view of the Annapurna Himalaya ranges. You will be astonished by seeing the amazing view of sunrise over the Annapurna Himalaya range from Poon Hill (3210m).
You will hike up to Annapurna Base camp, which is at an altitude of over 4000m, where you are virtually surrounded by soaring Himalayan peaks of Annapurna which are over 7000m.
This trek provides an excellent opportunity to experience the fascinating glimpse of rich culture, typical Nepalese lifestyle and ultimate thrill of hiking in the Himalayas at the high elevation.
After early morning breakfast, you will be taken to the Tourist Bus station and enjoy a 6 hour bus drive to Pokhara.
After breakfast, you will drive to Nayapul (45 k.m drive / 1 hour drive) and trek to Hille or Tikhedhunga.After reaching at Nayapul, your trek starts!After 15- minutes short walk along the bank of the Modi Khola, you will reach at Birethanti (1065m) a large village that has many shops and tea-houses. From there, the trail continues through the village. The trail follows the north bank of the Bhurungdi Khola. From there, the trail climbs steadily up the side of the valley to Hille at 1495m and after the short climb, you will reach at Tikhedhunga at 1525m. This trek offers a short and relatively easy day.
Leaving Tikhedunga, you will begin your journey with steep climb to Ulleri. Ulleri is a large Magar village at 2070m. Then the trail continues to ascend more gently, through fine forests of oak and rhododendron towards Banthanti at 2250m. Then you will make your trek towards Nangethanti at 2460m. After an hour walk, brings you to Ghorepani at 2775m.
This morning, you will get up early in the morning, and go for hiking to Poon Hill (3210m). From here you will see superb view of sunrise, and panoramic view of Himalayas, including Mt. Dhaulagiri, Annapurna South and Machhapuchhre. After visiting Poonhill, you will come back to Ghorepani, have a hot breakfast, and continue your trek to Tadapani.
The day starts with steep down hill. Leaving Tadapani, you will descend steeply through forests and then the trail eases as you reach Gurjung which is the village of Gurung people. You will then take an easy walk to Chhomorung (2020m).
Today the trail drops down to the Chhomrong Khola and again you will continue climbing to Khuldighar at 2380m where there is an ACAP Check post, and continuous walking to Dovan.
The day begins with the climb through bamboo, then rhododendron forest to Dovan, Himalayan Hotel and on to Hinko at 3020m. The accommodation will be in Deurali, on the ridge above Hinko and is the stretch of trail that is most subject to avalanche.
This morning you will hike up to the open valley crossing the Machapurchhre Base Camp (3700m); and as the valley is entirely surrounded by the mountains, the area is known as the Annapura Sanctuary. When you reach to the Annapurna Base Camp (4130m), the scenery is even more spectacular.
In the morning you will enjoy the spectacular view of the Annapurna Himalaya range and after breakfast, trek back to Dovan.
After a multi-day trek you are more tired; so get relaxed taking the natural hot spring in the bank of Modi River.
After breakfast, enjoy a 3 hour easy down hill walk to Birethanti and Nayapul where the road links to Pokhara. It is simply a 45 minute drive to Pokhara.
After breakfast, you will drive back to Kathmandu (6 hours drive on tourist coach). Tour ends.
