Ghorepani Pun Hill is one of the favorite treks by the trekkers in Annapurna Region. The trek is easily accessible from Pokhara; after a 2 day hiking from Nayapul. The main highlight of the trek is a visit to Pun Hill; situated at 3210 meters above the sea level; from where you can enjoy a mesmerizing view of sunrise and spectacular mountain views such as Mt. Dhaulagiri, Mt. Tukuche Peak, Annapurna I, Annapurna South, Himchuli, Machhapuchhre and many more.
Another highlight of the trek is a visit to Magar community village in Ulleri and Gurung community village in Ghandruk. After a visit to Pun Hill, you will trek to Tadapani, Ghandruk and adjourn your trek in Birethanti and Nayapul making a clockwise trek.
After early morning breakfast, you will be taken to the Tourist Bus station and enjoy a 6 hour bus drive to Pokhara.
After breakfast, you will drive to Nayapul (45 minute) and start your first day of the trek following the bank of the Modi Khola (rive). In a 20 minute walk, you will reach at Birethanti (1065m); a large village that has many shops and tea houses. From there, the trail continues through the village and follows the north bank of the Bhurungdi Khola (river). From there, the trail climbs steadily up the side of the valley to Hile (1495m) and after the short climb, you will reach at Tikhedhunga (1525m).
After breakfast, you will start your 2nd day of the trek with a steep climb to Ulleri; a large Magar village at 2070m. Then the trail continues to ascend more gently, through fine forests of oak and rhododendron towards Banthanti at 2250m. Then you will continue your trek towards Nangethanti at 2460m. After an hour walk you will reach to Ghorepani at 2775m.
Today is the main highlight of the trip! You will get up early in the morning (5 am) and get ready for an hour hike to Poon Hill to witness the sunrise and panoramic view of Annapurna Himalaya range including Mt. Dhaulagiri, Annapurna South and Machhapuchre. Then return to your guest house, enjoy delicious hot breakfast, and continue your trek to Tadapani.
After breakfast you will enjoy down hill walk through forest and reach to Ghandruk (2000m); a beautiful village inhabited by Gurung, one of the ethnic groups of Nepal. This is the best place to stop for lunch and enjoy the view of Annapurna Himalaya range. After lunch you will continue down hill walk to Nayapul and drive to Pokhara.
After breakfast, you will enjoy your return journey back to Kathmandu on tourist coach. Tour ends.
