Stop for lunch and shopping in historic Idaho Springs, a real old-western mining town, before returning back to Denver. In front of Historic Union Station and the Crawford Hotel at 8:15 am. Please meet at the flagpole out front and your driver/guide will meet you and walk you to the touring van.

Breathtakingly beautiful high alpine lake. Enjoy a walk to the lake and down the trail to overlook the Chicago Lakes and valleys below. We often encounter out State Mammal the Bighorn Sheep at this beautiful stop.
Reach 14,270 Feet at the summit of Mt. Blue Sky (Mt. Evans). Enjoy not only breathtaking 360 degree views but take an optional hike to the summit of the peak. We are lucky enough to share the summit with local bighorn sheep, mountain goats, marmots, and pika that call the summit home. The Views from one of the highest peaks in the Rocky Mountains is not to be missed. Photos can't do it justice but you will have fun trying anyway!
Spend time in the historic mining town of Idaho Springs for lunch and shopping on your own or take a stroll on the trail along Clear Creek. Enjoy the bustle of this little main street mountain town full of local stores, restaurants and breweries.
