Ghorepani Ghandruk trek lies in Gandaki Province between the lake city Pokhara and the northern Himalayas. This trek is named after two Gurung ethnic villages dwelt by the Brave Gurkhas in the popular Annapurna region. Most of the male members of these villages are involved in the British and Indian Army, so called the Gurkhas.

Based on your arrival time, a representative from Nepal Trekking Routes will reach Kathmandu International Airport [TIA] to welcome and receive you. You have two options to travel to Pokhara from Kathmandu: driving and flying. Although flight is a bit more expensive, the journey is faster and offers the aerial view of the Himalayas and other natural landmarks. Driving moves ahead through the small towns at the Prithvi Highway. Relishing the astounding outlook of the Langtang, Ganesh Himal, Manaslu, and Annapurna Ridges. After breakfast, you head towards Nayapul, the gateway to Annapurna Sunrise View Trek in a tourist bus or a private jeep. From Nayapul, you begin the trek by following the trail moving along the Modi Khola banks. Then, it goes through deep forests of rhododendron and oak while showing the Annapurna Massif. By walking past the 3,000+ stone staircases, you reach Ulleri, a large Magar village of the Annapurna Region. In fact, Ghorepani has the largest rhododendron forest in the world with 8 of 32 rhododendron species found in Nepal. The animals and birds of the conservation area play hide-and-seek while carrying on your trek. Then, you stop in Ghorepani Village tonight. One of the largest Gurung villages, Ghorepani is a storehouse of their culture, tradition, and lifestyle. From here, the vistas of the Annapurna (8,091 m) and the Dhaulagiri (8,167 m) Himalayan Ranges.
This is the most exciting part of Annapurna Sunrise View Trek because you are going to get a lifelong memory of sunrise views of the Annapurna Region. Wake up early and head towards Poon Hill (3,210 m) that takes nearly 1 hour from Ghorepani. From the hilltop, the Dhaulagiri (8,167 m) Massif, Annapurna (8.091 m) Massif, and Mt. Fishtail (6,993 m) unleash their beauty at fullest. The white snow sparkling in the first sun rays are perhaps the best experience that one can have in their life! Afterwards, you return to the hotel and have some breakfast. Following the trail that moves along the terraced farmlands and lush rhododendron forests, you reach Tadapani. Tadapani is a small village having some handicraft shops and hotels to serve the trekkers to this region. You can cherish the gorgeous views of Annapurna South (7,237 m) and Mt. Fishtail (6,993 m).
Enjoy the dazzling view of the Annapurna Region while having breakfast. After that, you follow the downhill trail in the beginning and then uphill leading to Chhomrong Village. Enjoying the heart-touching views of the Annapurna Massif and rhododendron forest all around, you reach Jhinu Danda. The natural hot spring of Jhinu Danda calls the trekkers of the Annapurna Region. Taking bath in the hot spring is an ultimate way to get rid of physical fatigue and mental stress. Alternatively, you can trek to Ghandruk from Tadapani in about 3-4 hours. The distance to Ghandruk from Tadapani is shorter than that to Jhinu Danda. Following a mostly downhill trail that goes past dense forest and terraced field, you reach the destination. Occasional views of the fabulous mountains of the Annapurna Massif and the Dhaulagiri Massif make this short trek more interesting.
After breakfast, you descend towards the Komrong Khola and then along the lush forest by crossing a new bridge. Afterwards, crossing a beautiful waterfall in Himalpani, you reach Landruk, a Gurung village. Thereafter, you trek to Tolka, a typical Magar village of the Annapurna Region. If you spend the night in Ghandruk Village, you follow the banks of the Modi River in the beginning. Crossing a bridge, the trail moves through a terraced field to Landruk Village. Moving further, you reach Tolka in a couple of hours. From Tolka, you trek down to Phedi by leaving some beautiful villages such as Pritam Deurali, Pothana, and Dhampus. While descending, the amazing vistas of the mountains and surrounding forests accompany you. From Phedi, you board on a jeep or a van and head towards Pokhara. After arriving in Pokhara, you will be transported to the hotel. In the spare time, explore the city because this is the last day of Annapurna Sunrise View Trek itinerary to stay in Pokhara.
You have two options to return today. You can either trek from Tokla to Nayapul via the village of Deurali or return to Phedi vai Pothana. Both Nayapul and Pothana touches the highway that takes us back to Pokhara. Overnight in Pokhara.
If you would like to take a flight back to Kathmandu, you can go to the Pokhara airport in the morning and board on a flight. Or else, drive back to Kathmandu on a scenic highway route. Overnight in Kathmandu.
