Your first stop will be Voi, where you will get to stretch or grab a quick bite. Voi is named after Chief Kivoi a long distant trader and a slave merchant who guided the British into Kenya’s in lands. Wake up early to watch the sun rise on Mt. Kilimanjaro like a flower opening and gifting the Amboseli Eco system with life. After Breakfast, enjoy a full day game drive. On this day you will also visit the Observation Hill which offers spectacular view in the morning hours. There is also flexibility to visit Maasai Village if need be.
the observation Hill is a cone-shaped hill is situated in the Western part of the park and it is the only place where you can get out of your vehicle and take a walk. The hill has clear volcanic origin and was formed during Mt. Kilimanjaro activity in the Pleistocene; from up here, the view spans 360 degrees throughout the Park exposing its arid areas, marshes lands, lakes and if the day is clear, the view of Mt. Kilimanjaro to the South, is spectacular.
After a good night sleep and heavy breakfast. Depart Amboseli for Tsavo East, you will arrive in time for lunch followed by an evening game drive before departure to your drop off location. Tsavo East National Park is one of the largest game reserves in Kenya, providing undeveloped wilderness for large numbers of animals. Famous are the Tsavo lions, a population whose adult males often lack manes entirely. There are over 103 species of birds in the park including vultures, Verreaux’s eagles, augur buzzard and swifts rare lammergeyer vultures. Hyraxes, African buffalo, zebra, eland, hartebeest, Thomson’s gazelle, hyena, and baboons are also common. The park is also home to servals, a few klipspringer antelope and Chanler’s mountain reedbuck.
