Experience wolves in the wilds of Yellowstone and other epic wildlife in their winter habitat on this amazing tour! Witness the 'American Serengeti' (considered to be the best place to view wolves on Earth) like few ever do on this small group eco-tour adventure. Your excursion begins in Bozeman, Montana, with overnight stays in Gardiner, Montana and Cooke City Montana. You will spend 4 days with a professional, local guide and naturalist exploring in a small vehicle (suburban or larger vehicle). You will traverse Yellowstone National Park in search of wildlife such as wolves, elk, bison, mule deer, moose, bighorn sheep, mountain goats, bald eagles, fox, and coyotes in Lamar Valley.

Guests will have ample photo opportunities to capture the wondrous winter wildlife and landscape of Yellowstone, and should expect to be getting in and out of the vehicle throughout the day to view wildlife. Binoculars and scope will be provided on each tour to view wildlife that is far away.

The valley is flanked by the Absaroka Range on the east and the Gallatin Range on the west. Guests can expect to see numerous wildlife sightings today that may include white-tailed deer, mule deer, elk, pronghorn antelope, golden eagles, bald eagles, along with other wildlife!

    Lamar Valley Wildlife Viewing!

    Today will be our first day of wolf and major wildlife viewing in Yellowstone National Park! Lamar Valley is known as the 'American Serengeti' and we will be in the best wildlife viewing area in North America! Wolves move early and we will be out and about to have our best chances at finding them! Expect lots of wildlife and scenery throughout the morning. Wildlife we often see are mule deer, pronghorn antelope, bighorn sheep, bison, elk, and moose. We will be driving through territory of 3 wolf packs making this a great opportunity for wolf viewing!

    The Roosevelt Arch is an arch at the north entrance to Yellowstone National Park in Gardiner, Montana, United States.     All Day Wildlife Viewing in Lamar Valley in Yellowstone National Park!

    We will depart the lodge early for another morning of listening, glassing and watching wolves! We often have wolf killed elk and winter deceased bison located that wolves and other predators visit to get a bite to eat. On these food sources we may see coyote, red fox, bald eagle, golden eagles, and wolves! Your professional guide will use all available resources to track down and show you wolves like you’ve never seen them before! We will then check in to our lodge in Cooke City, Montana where we will take a break and guests may choose to go back into the park to wildlife watch or relax in Cooke City for the evening.

    Another early morning as we head out for one last game drive to view wolves & other wildlife! We will see many other animals along the way as they endure the everyday struggle of surviving the harsh Yellowstone winter. Guests should keep their camera ready as photography opportunities are around every corner! Guests will have a great chance to see bison, elk, moose, mule deer, bighorn sheep, pronghorn antelope, mountain goat, coyote, and red fox!

    On our way to Bozeman we will visit Mammoth Hot Springs. Guests should expect to arrive at their Bozeman, Montana area hotel at approximately 4 p.m.
