We have already tried some of the cheeses for morning tea, and if time allows we can stop on the return journey.

12The Neck
Visit The Neck, the stunning narrow isthmus connecting North and South Bruny Island. Take your pick of three viewing options: climb the 279 steps to Truganini Lookout for panoramic views, pause at the mid-level lookout, or stroll along the flat boardwalk to the beach. Marvel at contrasting waters to the east and west, and keep an eye out for local wildlife—this unique habitat is home to burrowing little penguins and migrating short-tailed shearwaters!

Here is the description and details for the SeaLink Bruny Island Return Crossing (Kettering return): Board the ferry for your return crossing from Bruny Island to Kettering. It’s another fantastic opportunity to head out on deck, soak in the panoramic views of the D'Entrecasteaux Channel, and keep an eye out for local marine life as you head back to the mainland.

After a full day exploring the highlights and flavours of Bruny Island, sit back and relax on the comfortable drive back. We arrive back in Hobart at approximately 5:00 PM, dropping you directly at your pickup location, hotel or close by.

Swing by Get Shucked Oysters on your way back off the island! Even if you enjoyed oysters during morning tea, this afternoon stop at their world-first drive-through takeaway window lets you stock up on an extra dozen (or two) of freshly shucked oysters with fresh lemons to take home or savour on the ferry ride back.
