It is located in the heart of a lush tropical rainforest on the gentle slope of a mountain. It is an extremely serene place, sitting at a high altitude. Bedugul has an attractive mountain resort located about 1,100 metres above sea level, a tropical market and the ancient Lake Beratan with the beautiful “floating” temple of Ulun Danu. The temple was built to worship the deities Brahma, Vishnu, Shiva, the main Hindu trinity, and Dewi Danu, the lake goddess.
