An expert will present you in details the process of production of the flowering plant, growing, harvesting, stem washing, extracting the fibers, spinning the yarn, dying and weaving the fabric. The Lotus Farm is a unique fair trade textile workshop in the world which manufactures lotus textiles while supporting vulnerable women. The textile is the most ecological fabric in the world as it does not require any petrol, gas, electricity or any chemicals during all the process. Following a circular economy, the process uses a waste-lotus stem- and creates a new waste that is then transformed into a recycled paper. Indeed, you will also find that the lotus plant is used for its best value.

Meeting and pickup
Ideally located in downtown, a van will pick you up at 8.30am, 10am 12pm, 2pm or 4pm just in front of the garden of Biolab Cafe and restaurant.
What to expect
Learn how to do it yourself and make your own lotus fiber yarn, lotus paper, lotus seed bracelet.
The 2 hours Lotus discovery package include an authentic boat ride to the lotus fields and the tasting of our ancestral lotus tea.
