Departing from Alice Springs or Yulara (Uluru Airport) Your journey into the Red Centre begins as we head towards the iconic Uluru. Guests joining from Alice Springs enjoy a scenic drive with a stop at Mt Conner lookout—often mistaken for Uluru and a quick break at Curtin Springs before arriving at our campground for lunch. In the afternoon we visit the Uluru-Kata Tjuta Cultural Centre to learn about the area's rich Aboriginal heritage, geology, and ecology. From here, we travel to the base of Uluru, where we walk to the Mutitjulu Waterhole, exploring sacred rock art and hearing ancient Dreamtime stories of Kuniya and Liru. Next, we continue to Kantju Gorge, passing significant cultural sites such as an elder’s cave and traditional food storage areas. If we’re lucky, we may witness Central Australia's tallest waterfall after rain. As the day ends, we settle in for a breathtaking Uluru sunset, with a freshly prepared dinner and panoramic views a perfect close to an incredible first day

We rise early for a light breakfast before heading into Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park to witness a breathtaking Red Centre sunrise. As the first light hits the desert, we admire the majestic silhouette of Kata Tjuta—a stunning contrast to Uluru’s monolithic form. Next, we set out on a hike through either the Valley of the Winds or Walpa Gorge, weaving between the towering domes and taking in the striking geology and ancient beauty of this sacred landscape. After exploring Kata Tjuta, we journey on toward Kings Canyon, arriving just in time for another unforgettable Outback sunset. We end the day around the campfire with a hearty dinner, sharing stories under a sky full of stars.

We rise early once more and head into the sacred lands of the Ulpanyali and Lilla people to explore the spectacular Kings Canyon (Watarrka)—often called the crown jewel of Central Australia. Towering sandstone walls over 100 metres high surround us as we hike through this awe-inspiring landscape. Bring your hat, water, and sturdy shoes as we explore the rim and descend into hidden chasms, marvelling at the canyon’s geology and rare flora and fauna. After a well-earned rest, we journey north, passing through Alice Springs, and continue toward the West MacDonnell Ranges, where we arrive at our remote campsite. Here, the outback reveals its magic as we gather around the campfire for a hearty meal, relax with fellow travellers, and enjoy an unforgettable stargazing experience in the clear, unpolluted skies of remote Central Australia.

We begin the final day of our journey in the West MacDonnell Ranges, starting with Ormiston Gorge. Surrounded by towering red cliffs, we enjoy breakfast in this peaceful setting, reflecting on the forces that shaped the land. As the sun rises, keep an eye out for native wildlife stirring in the cool morning air. Next, we visit Ellery Creek Big Hole (Udepata), one of Central Australia's most scenic waterholes. Framed by rugged cliffs and sandy banks, it offers a refreshing place to swim and unwind. We then explore the dramatic Standley Chasm (Angkerle Atwatye), where narrow sandstone walls rise up to 80 metres high, creating a striking natural corridor rich in cultural significance.Our final stop is Simpsons Gap, a beautiful site with a permanent waterhole nestled between cliffs. It’s a peaceful place that holds deep meaning as a meeting point of several Aboriginal dreaming trails. As we return to Alice Springs, we reflect on four days of exploration.
