    Popa

Your journey begins with a scenic drive through the countryside, including a stop at a traditional village to see how local palm sugar and spirits are made. Upon reaching the base of this extinct volcano, you’ll visit the colorful shrines dedicated to the 37 Nats, Myanmar’s ancient animist spirits. The highlight is a rewarding climb up 777 covered steps to the summit of Taung Kalat. Along the way, you’ll meet resident monkeys and join local pilgrims before reaching the golden pagodas at the top.
