Your three-day excursion from Marrakech to Merzouga will begin with an early-morning drive east of Marrakech through tiny suburbs to the High Atlas Mountains. You will make several pauses to take photographs, admire the view, stretch your legs, and sip coffee.
Drive uphill on winding roads to the renowned Tizi Ntichka pass before arriving at Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou, the day's first important tourist stop. Ait Ben Haddou, a Berber walled town, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site renowned as a location for big Hollywood epics. The village was utilized to film the films Kingdom of Heaven, Lawrence of Arabia, and Gladiator, to mention a few. Cross the river that separates the Kasbah from the main road and tour the hamlet at your leisure. If you desire to hire a local guide, you can do so on-site.
After a leisurely lunch at one of the local cafés, proceed to Dades valley, through Ouarzazate, Skoura Oasis, and Klaa Mgouna, the capital of the valley of the roses and renowned for its rosewater distilleries.
Upon arrival at Boumalne Dades, follow the Dades River along a narrow route past many fortified Kasbahs to the Dades Canyons. We drive along the road of 1001 Kasbahs.

After breakfast at your accommodation in the Todgha Gorges, we travel to Rissani, renowned for its dates market and as the beginning point of the ancient caravans that traversed the Sahara desert to Tombouctou. After a brief pause, we will continue driving to Merzouga across stony desert terrain.

After arriving at the Merzouga desertg, feel free to have a refreshing dip in their pool before preparing for your evening desert journey to the camp. You will experience feeding camels in Sahara. After an early morning camel walk over the Erg Chebbi dunes, arrive to the lodge of the desert camp operator for breakfast, a shower, and if time permits, a dip in the lodge pool.
Rejoin your driver and car, then return to Ouarzazate via Rissani, Nkob and Agdz.
After a leisurely lunch, we continue over the High Atlas Mountains to Marrakech in the afternoon.
Your three-day Merzouga desert excursion will conclude in Marrakech about 19:00. We drop you off at your hotel.
